sorry about this history lesson but going back to the 1950s my dad had problems with ignition coils , they would burn out ,there was only one , it did all 4 cyls.so the manufacturers filled them with oil to keep them cool and they were as far away from the engine as posible as heat destroyes them ...

i traded my golf in and got a new polo ,poverty model ,up to now 8000 miles it is ok ,so i will report how it goes .i also bought a new peugeot 107 5 door which is realey a toyota aygo,verry impressed with that quality and finish 5900 with discount on the road brand new ,43 for 12 months road tax ...

having seen rear brake systems come and go as a motor mechanic for the last 40 years .rear disc brakes are junk ,you can not have a good handbrake with calipers on the rear,drums are much better,most of the bracking is done onthe front where discs are great because they can disipate the heat better ...
