Re: Cambelt Problems?

What is the current milage on the car? I'd assume is must be pretty low? If it's the same paint code as my silver GTi, I'd take a load of body panels off of ya and other bits and pieces as you're not too far away from me! Thats if you do decide to break it! You'd probably get decent money for the g...

Re: Cambelt Problems?

Thanks for your help guys. Atm I'm in two minds about what to do. I am trying the sell the car, but as it is a previous cat c I haven't had much interest. It might be more viable to break the car. Do you have any idea about how much I could get back should I decide to break the car, considering the...

Re: ESP - Retrofit

Damn, I was hoping that because it was on the optional extras list that VW would make it easy for themselves to reinstate it, like disable it in the ECU, remove the button, obviously VW are not as smart as me for time saving

Thanks Alex.

ESP - Retrofit

It's been a while since I last made an appearance here, I've recently done away with my MK5 1.4 16v and got myself a MK5 GTi for a bit of fun. The GTi is a bit of a project and I've got loads lined up for it. Any way there are a couple of electrical modifications that are going to be implemented. Fi...

Re: Polo GTi - FAQ - Common Modifications and Advice

RE: Cruise control.

On the GTi is it really just a case of a MK4 Golf stalk and VAG-COM to enable it on the ECU? I've read of people fitting this to Lupo GTi's and there seems to be additional cabling to connect to the ECU. Is it really as simple as stated in the original post?

Car: MK5 Polo 1.4 16v S (75bhp)
NCB: 1
Insurer: Direct Line
Premium: £680
Convictions: NONE :D

I've just turned 20 but the policy was renewed when I was 19, First years insurance was £1400 though! I've held my license for 2 and 3/4 years.

It sounds like some people are being ripped off here.

Two F2.8s. A 50mm fixed for portraits with amazing depth of field, and a 17-50mm for super crisp shots :)

Plus a nice new Nikon SB600 wireless flash gun :D

I feel some awesome photos coming on!
The 50mm is a F/1.8 not 2.8 mate ;) heh

Car is looking nice as always.

MK5 Driver Side Wing Mirror

As subject says.

Some idiot clipped mine today and its absolutely trashed.

its for a MK5 (6n2) Polo obviously its electric and I believe under the cracked glass I saw what appeared to be a heating element, So I assume they are heated too?

Thanks.
