Yes you are right i fitted a mk4 induction kit ,the filter and main breather
fit as per the supplied kit,however the small rocker cover breather pipe has no where to go so i fitted a breather filter to the end of this pipe
and made a small bracket.

k&n further gossip

hi again in reply to your q about breather pipe, i thought you said you had a spare pipe/connection when you took off the origional air box.
if this is the case did you attach a small filter to it ? .

all this may be un necc as the k&n boys seem to be trying to produce a proper set up for the mk5 ...

thanks, where did you get the kit and the breather filter etc from please,
also how does it effect the running/performance etc .
i have a peco back box fitted ,other than that all is standard.

advice please got a w reg 1.4 mpi 60 bhp.

will the k&n 57i induction kit fit before i buy one ? ? ?
only advise if you really know please as i will waste time
and money if its bad advice.

Hi guys

I converted my 3 door Mk5 door handles to de-locked mode.

I purchased 2x secondhand Mk4 5door rear handles, painted them to body colour,and fitted them to my car, no modifications req at all.

All in all a cheap mod that retains the origional lock mechanism and
can be reversed at no ...

well got the 195/45/16 bk alloys fitted no scrubbing with the 40mm drop on spax springs and standard shocks thanks boys.

16/17 oh dear ! ! ! !

Thanks for the advice, i have now fitted the 4cm reduced spax springs
{origional shocks retained).

I went to my local tyre /wheel custom shop and they let me try on
a set of 205/17s TOO BIG, they catch the dirt shield on the front arches.
On their recomendation i have ordered 195/45/16s when they ...

without mods.

Will 17" 205/40/17 with a 40mm spring reduction really be ok on my 1.4
se mpi , got to mail order the wheels and cant send them back.

I dont want to carry out any mods if i can help it.
