Sad to say but this polo has now been traded in. Travelled some good miles in it.

Given the relatively low mileage for this mark polo 16v, I'm asking £1,500 but open to offers.

I have had reasonable part exchange offers on it but haven't found the right replacement car yet. As I indicated, this could go as a part exchange at any point.

No problem. I'll get some photos sorted by Friday. I need to get it washed for its photoshoot! I cleaned the interior the other day and it looks pristine.

Also, a 1 year old sony CD ipod link stereo (fitted in the car) would be included in the sale.

Has the BBS alloys that were the top wheel option when purchased. Only 2 owners (including me) from new. No modifications. The mileage is correct. I bought it with 45,000 miles on the clock 6 years ago and don't do many miles.

It's official! VAG have redesigned the 16V rocker cover so it takes gaskets and should no longer leak. How do i know? I've forked out the £140 for it and the gaskets and had it fitted.

Am I going mad and there is no such thing?

I seem to remember someone metioning about a new design of 16v rocker cover which doesn't leak oil.

Does anyone have the VAG part number for this new design?

NOZ, I live in east london and have had loads of problems finding a decent garage to service/ fix my 16V. ANy suggestions?

It's because they are normal gearboxes with higher ratios gears put in so they were never really designed for the extra work the replacement gears put through it.

Mine hasn't gone yet (touch wood) but the bearings did go which cost a bomb to fix. The symptoms for this seemed to be a whining whether ...

Does anyone have or know where to get a spare BBS Solitude wheel? Mine has a big dink in it and is causing a rather irritating slow puncture. I want to replace it.

The rocker cover does indeed not have a gasket. My VW specialist pointed this out to me but just tightened it up for me saying this leak was a common 16v problem. He said that they can now seal it with special sealent.
