wiper intermission woes!
Gosh darn it! Just as I get the GTi sorted and everything running super-sweetly: more electrical gremlins! Turns out you guys were bang on the mark! VAG-COM cable arrived so I hooked up and tuned in and viola: fault 16500...coolant temperature sensor (G62) implausible signal! Just like you said it would be! So I'll holler at my dealership and ask them nicely to sort me out with a fresh sensor...BTW, any ...

nrtnm, cheers for your advice, but how do I run vag-com? Will it only be dealers who have it? Is that what the socket behind my ashtray is meant for? Are a bunch of other faults that I didn's know about likely to present themselves? I'm in an awesome strange new world, stepped up from a Yaris which ...

A/C question again!
Hi guys, I've got ANOTHER question about my GTi's air con (not climatronic). I've got three knobs (but shhhhh, dont tell anyone...) but seriously, three knobs: temperature, fan power and air direction. At the moment, none of these are illuminated when I turn the lights on...is this correct? Or do ...

Climatic/AC
Hi all, just bought myself a secondhand GTi! Very pleased with it, awesome car, especially as it's replacing a 1.0 yaris... Anyway, the GTi is an early model with AC but not climate control, does anyone know if its possible to simply swap the units located in the cabin (if I managed to source one ...
