Well the passenger side door does need to be slammed in order to shut properly. Maybe that has something to do with it? Plus the sill is slightly rusty.

Hi all, I've just brought a Polo GTi and I'm finding dampness behind the passenger side seat when it rains. Why is this? The rubber seal around the door seems fine. The car has been modified a bit with the rear wiper being removed. Don't know if that has anything to do with it?

I went to see a Polo last week and the plastic part covering part of the engine is missing. I know it used to have a K & N filter on it which was taken off. Does it seem dodgy without the plastic bit ON (The one that says polo GtI)

so a rusted polo is probably accidented?

Well the Polo was a W/2000 model so isn't a bit of rust normal for a 7 yr old car?

The rust is on the bottom left of that picture. On one side of the car, you can actually see the rust when the door is closed also.

Its when you open the door, on the corner. Tiny bubbles.

Went to see a polo gti today and it had rust showing on the door sills. How serious is this problem if I get it sorted? (of reoccurance?)
