Just get a 10mm drill bit and make a few holes

On a more serious note...get some G60 carriers and upgrade to a 280mm set up with standard discs. Much better tbh. The Gti callipers are big enough to hold the 280s so all you need is discs and callipers

Its a 90amp one i need mate ;)

VW won't give me part numbers as they know i'll go source one for cheaper from elsewhere.

Checked vagcat...gives me a huge list.

Easiest way to work it out is getting under the car...but like i said...no jack

Urgent Request please...Part No needed.

If someone has access to a jack or has an engine out of their 6n2 Polo Gti could you check the part number for the alternator please and PM me it or post it here. I dont have access to a jack and I dont trust the s**t scissor jacks to get under the car. Will love you long time if you can help me out...

I rang VW and they said they're either £190 (Valeo) or £210 (Bosch) or i can go to GSF or ECP and get it for £90 and old alternator. Thing is no one can tell me if the Valeo and Bosch ones have the same mounting points etc? ie. does it matter which i get in the end?!

Alternator woes...ruined UDs

Well my alt. has packed in...it packed in on the M1 on the way to UDs :( I've been trying to find out what one i need to replace it. I know it's a 90amp one i need but i dont know which one. Its either valeo or bosch. I dont have a jack to check it out from below the car. Anyone know how i can work ...
