check your points they should be 0.45mm in open position

only bickel has build a turbo polo mk1 from a 900cc engine .it was black with gold striping .and had a 130 hp

are you guy's going also ?

a 8p gearbox from an gt is also very suitable ,o an ahd gearbox from a 1.4 diesel from a 2f

the 4 speed gearbox is more sturdy than thje 5 gearbox (thats why they use them on hill climbes )use the gearbox from a nz engine

in holland we don't know tsr (what is it )and are u running on a single carb or original injection?

this is mine with the 1.6 with hh head on weber 40 dcoe ...

well i put an gk head on a 1.4 abd engine (modified the pistons ,becaus the valves came deaper)it's a schrick cam 286 inlet and outlet .
if you want a nice bit of power out of your 1.0 engine .its do able to get around 100 hp .

well the cheapest option is swapping your 1.0 for a 1.3 or 1.4 engine,with a suitable carb .


myself have polo mk2 with a 1.4 engine with a grinded and polished mechanical head ,with 286 cam ,4-1 tezet manifold ,double dellorto carbs 40mm.it delivers a 140 hp on the krank .got an ahz gearbox on it ...

heaten them up with an haidryer .then its possible to sepperate the glass from the mirror

i didnt ment the golf or rocco engine those are large engines .
the ones i meant are small blocks from polo 6n or golf 3 abu ,aee,aea ,those 3 engines will fit like a glove and can produce without any probs a 150 horsies with the right tuning mods .

the 1.6 abu or aee engine with the mods i mentioned gives a 150 horsies and has standard a 138nm torque with the mods around a 170

wel the front beam must be taken a 4 cm where the pouly comes .the tranny gets in the way when you are steering to the right .
better is a 1.6 from a 6n .if you want to run it properly :
remove the original head ,replace this head with one from a mh engine
the pistons should be shortened with 3,5 ...

well i did .
and it sucks very big time in corners to much oversteer .if i want oversteer ,i create it my self .
heel toe works for me
