This happened in holland at the weekend. . .

A stroked crankshaft that didnt quite fit the block, so after a lot of grinding, (and weakening the block) combined with a little bit too much boost pressure. . . oops!

i could live with £50. just spent £150 on the complete electric window assembly to find this didnt help! although the old one does need replacing anyway. not long got my car back from the garage though and my coilys arrived today so its not all bad! :D

Drivers door switch

Does any1 have a spare switch from the drivers door? the one which controls the electric windows and the door locks.

my original plan was to change the gearbox oil every 10000miles. 1st time i changed it at 50000 looked like it was the 1st time it had ever been done and was a little bit gritty. changed it just the other week at 60000 and looked almost brand new! think il change it every 20000 instead!

done 60k and a half and still on the original box. shame some stupid female saxo driver decided to write her car off by ploughin into the back of me full speed! still awaiting info on whether or not il get my polo back! gutted!

its because there is a 6n2 polo at a local scrappys but im not sure what spec it is, jst wondered if all 6n2 polos had this switch?

Drivers door switch

Do all 6n2 polos have the switch in the drivers door the same as the gti? Mine appears to have stopped workin as it locks the car, wont unlock it and doesnt work either of the windows correctly!

how low has everyone lowered their cars? all the suspension kits i can find only lower by 30mm
