Definitely not. Oversteer is usually quick and unexpected. Understeer is usually progressive and easy to correct.

More like of a question at to why you swapped?

Re: NEW MEMBER - 1.8 GTI TSI Manual Tuning Options

There are plenty of other places out there that remap these cars so have a search about what's close to you. I've got a sachs organic clutch and would recommend that but it is heavy. There's RTS and helix also do clutches for it. If i was getting coilovers I'd get KW but they are not cheap. But i wo...

Re: NEW MEMBER - 1.8 GTI TSI Manual Tuning Options

yeah she's pretty quick when needs must lol it was more about how far you wan't to take it (stage 1 would be apr, stage 2 would probably be revo, stage 3 i chose MRC(switchable maps, golf R HPFP)) APR chose to globally stop all stage 2 software (probably some sort of enviromental pressure) people sa...

Re: NEW MEMBER - 1.8 GTI TSI Manual Tuning Options

with myself having a basically a 400bhp polo 1.8 tsi, it really does depend on how far you wan't to take it. for a stage 1 i'd say APR but it all ends there as they stopped doing stage 2 a month or so ago. Revo would probably be my next choice for an off the shelf map. you do not need to worry about...

Re: EPC problem in 4th Gear

The 6C version of Polo, at least my wife's 2015 1.2TSI 110PS, I'm sure, has a gearbox "gear selected" system and does not derive which gear it is in from engine speed and road speed as earlier models did. still the same. was getting clutch slip in my gti and when it did the gear selected ...

Re: Removal of Composition Media Unit From Glovebox - How?

I would suggest pulling the unit half way out then removing the glovebox...there is a video on YouTube for this on a 6R. I found it easier to unclip the loom from the side of the dashboard as otherwise the cables are quite short. They’re just clipped on as you’ll see once glovebox removed. but how ...

Re: Removal of Composition Media Unit From Glovebox - How?

I found it easier to leave the glovebox in position an slowly work it out. You will need to feed the wiring in as you work it out.

I appreciate your advice. I'm going to carefully consider purchasing one of the cables, along with the associated software. Thank you!

the software is free, the genuine cable is basically the unlock code for it

I've already upgraded to the correct unit so just sending the unit out of the glovebox.

If you keep a look out on Ebay they sometimes appear for around the 50 quid mark

Re: Activating Appconnect

being as you have an early 6c i'm sure you will just have mirror link and not the full app connect and imho mirror link is not worth the time of day (i specc'd my gti with mirror link and tried to use it once and that's it) i'd recommend changing the unit in the glove box and then getting the whole ...
