Re: Performance intake ?

Thanks yeah you’re right about the air filter to elbow pipe. I am aware that i will be buying a pipe that will not fit and never be used. By chance do you know the part number for the golf breather hose required? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392545109712 you can use the code PAID20 to get best part o...

Re: Performance intake ?

no if you get a polo specific intake it will probably only fit the smaller elbow racing line do a kit that comes on top of the intake but imho it's pointless as you are left with a useless silicone hose that is why i fitted my own silicone hose to the racing line elbow you will need the breather unl...

Re: Performance intake ?

Hi I've fitted the racingline intake on my 2015 gti but wasn't happy with small elbow fitted stock. So looking into it i found that all the turbos have exactly the same dimensions for attaching everything. So a racing line elbow fits no problem but you need the breather hose off a golf R as it attac...

Re: Battery problem

SoC is State of Charge.

I'm guessing it is the module itself as i guess a fully discharged battery would show SoC 0%

Re: Flip reverse camera not working

Is the wire tap you have added to the reverse signal actually working? As the me it looks oversized for the cable for the reverse light

Re: Tuning Box Install - Engine Sensor Locations 6C GTI

It's going in the beginning of next month for a new clutch and flywheel and a lsd.

Then it's just getting the turbo fitted and tuned.

Might try get some of the poly bushes fitted in the mean time aswell.

Should be decent enough, looking to try get 400bhp

Re: Flip reverse camera not working

Do you have the right unit to take a reverse camera input.

You also haven't mentioned the wiring for the video signal?

Re: Tuning Box Install - Engine Sensor Locations 6C GTI

Apr do seem to extract quite a decent torque gain from the 1.8.

If you are going custom they should be able to tune it to tame down the torque to prolong clutch life.

Mine is still running stock map going straight to stage 3

Re: Tuning Box Install - Engine Sensor Locations 6C GTI

Tbh I'd never fit a tuning box to a petrol car.

You will get more power from the custom remap as it uses the data from all the sensors rather than just a couple and fudging the data to trick the ecu into making more power

Re: POLO GTI - bushes upgrade

I've got all of the front (apart from 20) ready to be fitted to my 2015 gti.

I think its only the dogbone Bush ( 20) is the one that causes extra vibrations but it's also the most noticeable upgrade.

I opted for the complete mount from vibratechnics

Re: Clutch slipping 6C GTI

Whats a good replacement clutch kit? Do I need to worry about anything else, like pressure plates or different oil? My car will stay mostly stock, power-wise. Thanks The sachs organic replacement seems to be a fairly reliable upgrade and also RTS clutch seems to be alright aswell This is for the ma...

Re: Clutch slipping 6C GTI

Mine has started to slip at 23k miles.

The 1.8 tsi has a decent amount of torque for a petrol (albeit turbocharged)

I'm going to fit an is38 turbo so fitted this below.

Re: My Polo 6C GTI upgrade

Hi sam When i changed my unit (i only went from a 42 to 42b) i did it in stages. Firstly i fitted a second hand unit in the car this puts it in component protection but is fully functional and allows you to check you have the right usb port (rumour is that they are different in non app connect cars)...

thermostat housings are prone to leak on these cars, vw are well aware of it even though they may claim it's not an issue
