Re: Any Polo 9N TDI owners
I was going on the motorway this morning and the oil light came on. My 1.9 TDI is only 8 months/10.5k miles old. I have checked the oil and it is low but I cant see any leaks. Has anyone else had any problems? Do diesel engines drink alot of oil generally. (My first diesel  ) Cheers Si They t...

It depends which grill you mean. I found this picture on the internet which shows two grills: http://galleries.wheels24.co.za/cars/vw/polo2dr/images/32.jpg I have the grill between the reading lights, but do not have the big grill at the back. I would assume it's the big grill that contains the ala...

Either they fit it free of charge (if they are liable) or you get them to reimburse you the cost of an alarm. Remember if they are forced to fit the alarm for you, you'll have a disgruntled dealership fitting an alarm, pulling door cards apart, removing headlining, I know what I'd rather have. If yo...

My 2002 Sport tdi had this vent along with the remote key fob, so it definately looks like you have no alarm sensors. which is a shame. Why don't you phone up two seperate dealers and ask them for confirmation on spec, failing that confirm it with VW UK. It just seems strange that the SE model seems...

If your thinking of fitting one to your VRS, I don't think it'll work. ToXXin has already tried to do this on his SEAT and the mounting points were all wrong  Send him a PM for more info I know that's why I want to fabricate my own. I remember from my previous Polo that there was a seperate se...

Bonnet Gas Strut
Would anyone mind posting a couple of small pictures that show the bracket for the bonnet gas strut and also the gas strut bonnet fixing point?
Thanks in advance.

I'll probably be shot for sayting this but I'm quite tempted by the new Focus. Not wanting to be another 'wife, kids, two bed semi, thirty something Focus driver' statistic. I'm there on two counts, I'm saved by the fact that I own a Bungalow but if next year pans out the way I think it's going to t...

Why don't you revert back to the 5600k bulbs to see if this issue occurs, as you said you could not be 100%. If it doesn't then the 8000k bulbs could be faulty, you could then go back to the provider see if they can replace them or ask them what could be the cause. It can be dangerous involving a de...

You made sure that you covered the car with a soapy solution whilst using the clay bar, and continued to apply the solution? I had this problem with a friends car. Basically we washed, then used Zymol HD clense, which effectively strips the wax from the car, we then clayed it and if required clayed ...

Re: A profile of the typical Polo buyer
60% of Polo buyers are female with an average age between 35 and 55 years. Bought mine in 2002 aged 29. Also, 75% of Polos are sold to private buyers, with the remaining 25% sold to fleets. Source is VW. Deek. Bought mine in 2002 aged 29. Mine was a private buy, wonder what that survey would be aft...
