Re: New Blue GT owner

Does anyone know the part number for the rubber bit at the side of the windscreen? Or, what I’d ask for to get a new one? One of them flew off whilst driving to work recently. Looks like the car has had a new windscreen at some point and it wasn’t secured properly

Re: New Blue GT owner

Thank you both :) . I really can’t believe that getting a windscreen washer low warning was part of an optional extra - even my Polo 6N 16V from years ago had one ffs!

Re: New Blue GT owner

I have a few other questions if anyone can help please .. - The garage I bought the car from lost the owners manual when moving the car between sites. I’ve sorted a new one, but from what I can see it suggests that there’s a seperate manual for the radio/headunit. Is that correct? If it is, does any...

Re: New Blue GT owner

I also have a Pipercross replacement air filter (drop in standard box) - used on my 150bhp TSi Golf (same engine as Polo GT) - been on for approx 300 miles so "as new" - £25, LED number plate lights (inc resistors so no error messages on dash) - £15 I’ve replied to your PM, Rob, but the m...

Re: New Blue GT owner

I bought the bulbs off Ebay - cheaper the Halfrauds, etc I think the Yeti trims were around £30 for the pair - can't remember exactly but around that price, they slide on and are held in place with metal tabs on the inside I just have the front mats as i had standard ones in the back - now looking ...

Re: New Blue GT owner

You are better to get VW car mats. My VW ones have lasted over 8 years and are still in good condition but have got through two sets of aftermarket ones in only 5 years where I specified logo and trim colour. Yeh, that sounds a good call. Do you know if there is just one version (i.e. just one colo...

Re: New Blue GT owner

Hi I've had 2 Polo GTs and now have a Golf MK7 GT (same engine). I changed the headlight bulbs to Osrams which gave a whiter light and slightly better throw but nothing like xenons, changed the DRLs to leds which were very white but kept blowing :( I fitted Skoda Yeti chrome exhaust trims which fit...

Thank you all for your replies, much aporeciated 8)

@ massimo23: If you could PM me that link, that’d be great. Thanks!

Has anyone upgraded the bulbs in their headlights? If so, what’s everyone using? I’m finding the standard bulbs quite poor compared to what I’m used to in the R32.
