Has anyone changed a ignition barrel. i am thinking about changing it due to immobiliser issues i am having as i understand that the key reader is attached to the barrel. is it easy or should i take to VAG specialists?

Re: climatic blowing hot air

Hi Biggy

My Polo has been doing this for a while now. it seems the temperature flap maybe stuck. i'm trying to find the part and guide on how to change. So if anyone on here has fixed the same issue, please let us both know how you did it.

Cheers

Re: Rear Washer stopped squirting water

Most common place is the pipe comes off just under the battery / airbox. Nice and awkward.

Great looks like i need lady hands to get into those tight spots in the engine bay.. i thought replacing the bulbs was hard enough, that was a nightmare!

Re: Rear Washer stopped squirting water

There's also a join in the boot, behind the carpet on the left hand (passenger) side. We've had that and the engine bay join both pop over the winter, just waiting for the join in the tailgate to complete the set...

Best to use 100% screewash mix - any added water can freeze, expand, and pop these ...

You should not just start thowing money at this problem by guessing the actual root cause of the fault. Chances are that it is the loop on the start switch - but I don't know what it costs - does Haynes make it sound like an easy task? VAG-COM is your servant in this sort of situation, you have ...
