i bought mt GTI back in novemeber from a main dealer and got a 12 month warranty with it. it only covers thw main components stated by JDism.

i guess its only worth getting if you think your gearbox may go in the next year.

i'm glad i have mine but wouldnt have paid £350 for it!

Hi Dan

i too have an N95. I use the sat nav which is come pre installed (well it did on O2) and it works fine. Usually takes a few mins to get a GPS signal but works fine once its found it. I go into Tools and GPS data first, let it find a signal, then go onto the sat nav.

Well i thought id let u lot know that ive been talking 2 martin halland of reyland (if u know ur cossies aswell u will know who he is and how good he is!) And he has agreed 2 look into developing a gearbox conversion for the polo gti /6n2 ! Basicly this means he will find a way 2 fit another fwd bo...

whats the best thing to use to clean the bbs alloys? is it ok to use the usualy alloy wheels cleaner. i'm just a bit wary as i know they are a little,well, sensitive! i bought my gti back in novemeber from a main vw dealer. they refurbished the wheels but there are already signs of decay...not good....

if im honest he was setting off and i was approaching in 2nd gear at about 3500rpm! i like to think i kept up well, which i did for a short while before the vtec kicked in and he pulled away!

there's certainly no point racing a fellow GTI. it is however nice to 'suprise' people now and again. eg business men in their rep mobiles. people dont appreciate the Polo GTI, probably because they are rather rare and you dont seem them often.

one of the lads at work has a typr-r, he was suprised how well the GTI keeps up with it!!

I remember getting in mine for the first time.
