Now that doesn't mean the car is reliable, it just means, given the use it sees, it is reliable enough. It will dutifully go to the local VW Dealer for the MO...

Thanks, I have seen that already. Garage has to be within 5 miles and you need a written quote. Have searched a few VW forums have had found some recommended independants in West London. I would suggest a creative approach? If say the Indy Garage is even up to 8Miles away, surely its got to be wort...

FWIW, I would not look to chop'n'change between fully synthetic and semi-synthetic oil; too much risk of possible damage IMHO switching between the two.
