Re: Is the polo reliable
My Mother's 9N (1.4 Auto) goes in for its second MOT from new on this weekend (06/02). I'm willing to bet that it doesn't need a thing doing. Now that doesn't mean the car is reliable, it just means, given the use it sees, it is reliable enough. It will dutifully go to the local VW Dealer for the MO...

Re: service due advice please
Thanks, I have seen that already. Garage has to be within 5 miles and you need a written quote. Have searched a few VW forums have had found some recommended independants in West London. I would suggest a creative approach? If say the Indy Garage is even up to 8Miles away, surely its got to be wort...

Re: Is the polo reliable
These cars were (are?) marketed on the basis of them being reliable - and this is where the problem exists because they aren't. My Mother's 9N has been as reliable as I have expected it to be, and other than the issues I documented on the Forum here, its been faultless for the past year. However I w...

Why struggle with these bulbs yourself? Under the VW Service Promise, they will fit all bulbs FoC:

Re: Which Oil Do You Use?
FWIW, I would not look to chop'n'change between fully synthetic and semi-synthetic oil; too much risk of possible damage IMHO switching between the two. I would stick with one as in the long run, if you are changing oil frequently enough it wont be an issue if you have one over the other. For exampl...

Re: Brand new Genuine polo wheels and tyres NEED SOLD
Just wanted to say, that Luke very kindly delivered these wheels to me this morning. I would like to reassure other Members that he is a genuine guy and it was a pleasure to meet him (and his Father!). The wheels were 110% as described, brand spanking new and very carefully delivered. Can't thank hi...

I don't think we will be able to do business given the distance
No harm in you approaching him to see if you could snaffle them - they 'look' like excellent wheels.

Re: 15" alloys 9n 9n3
...there is nothing wrong with these wheels if there not to your liking why post up :?: Nononono...the point was they ARE to my liking. But they are too far away for me. The other times wheels have come up for sale, they have been ways-ways-away from me. These would be ideal, but for the distance.....

Re: Any1 else had this problem?
Just to add to this, the aero blades [on my Mother's 9N] have always functioned properly. I can only suggest that you wait and see if the new replacement arm makes a difference. I understand that you're having trouble getting the old one off, just try soaking it with WD40 (or similar) and then try p...
