how many miles has it done, sounds like a fookered head gasket

nah that sounds like a fookered release bearing to me, OR it could be you need gearbox oil as the release bearing is only doin it when its warm

ok go to the back of your polo, if you are looking at it so your exhast is on the left side (near side), look under on the RIGHT side (offside) of the car, right next to the rear wheel, what where you will find the fuel pump and filter mate

ok my head gasket is fookered, it's expected, as it has done 75 thou miles all i need to know is if the head is aluminium or cast iron incase i need to get the head skimmed.

first thing wrong place for a 1999 polo this is for mk2F or mk3's u have a mk4 6n, and have you got an air filter in it ? if water is going through the intake and into the cylinders it will shudder, water doesn't compress.

im positive you can go to 110mm lower before it's running on the bumpstops so u should be fine at 70 mm
