Hi Alex,

I don't suppose you've still got access to any original bolts? I probs need around ten?

Cheers,

Paul

Re: My 2.0 litre polo thread

Looking good! Do you mean the engine mounts from the Ibiza sub-frame when you say 'cut them off'? Or do you mean you mean the engine mounts from the polo classic? My mate has almost finished re-building his ABF and is planning to run it with throttle bodies and possibly Emerald management. That woul...

Re: My 6N, Dutch style of course

Did the car behind you with orange indicators get 2nd? I'm off back to the box in the garage for mine if he did!!

I'm 6ft 3in and have more leg room in my polo compared to my passat.

Re: Fitting power steering

I wouldn't bother, it's only going to add weight and slow down the 1.0l

Just get down to the gym and work on your arms...

Re: finally found a donor car updated (10/08/09)

Fair play to you for giving it a go!

I've recently been to collect an ABF (2.0 16v golf) lump with a mate and looking at it on the stand without all the 16v induction it doesn't look that much bigger than a AEE.

Raceland Coilovers For 6n / Mk4

http://www.ddme.co.uk/coilovers/P1020105.jpg They were on the car for less than two weeks and haven't even done 50 miles. They're designed to go a lot lower than I want and as I had them wound-up high the ride was too firm for my back! They've got a bit marked by the salt, though the springs and an...

The pulsing does sound like the tb, that's what mine was doing before I gave it a really good clean. Does the cable look OK?

I'd also seen this:

Best of luck with getting it sorted!

Have a good look around the thermostat housing to see if it's cracked. Has the water pump ever been changed? Is it using any oil, or coolant? Is the air in-take standard? Was the coil you put on a scrappy one or a new one? When was the head gasket changed? Lots of questions, though I've got a 1.6 an...
