No worries man, keep hunting and you'll find one! I sold the door for 55 notes, the guy (16vmoose on here) picked it up.

Re: Electric Window Motor
Hey mate, don't know if you were still looking for an electric window, but I have a complete passenger side setup (as new, in the box!!) back home in Devon, would this be of any help to you? I'd offer the drivers side but the whole door has been sold off, electrics included

Re: Grinding Steering Wheel?
Lolhoward is on the right track. there is a metal contact between the wheel and the boss, I think it gives the wheel a connection for the horn and (if fitted) the airbag. Just put in a bit of grease and bend the rod(s) so they run on the metal plate of the boss more smoothly. (Assuming you can get a...

Re: 16v Gearbox Recondition
It helps to push the stick down firmly when engaging reverse. I take my time with it, clutch right down and 9 times out of 10 it goes in without a hitch

Re: 6n2 interior for 6n?
Seats should be a simple enough swap, all you'd need to do (if anything) is swap subframes over. Doorcards is a tricky one. If you can adapt the doorhandles and any electric bits (mirrors) then it would just be a case of seeing if the doors are the same shape.

Seconded, replace it because it will go at the most inconvenient time! They're a pig to replace though, so make sure you know what you're doing under the bonnet.. (or have someone with you who does!!!)

Re: Someone hit me :(
Seconded, get whiplash sorted fast, it can be a pain in the rear!!! That could probably be repaired by any half decent panel beater, as long as the chassis/roof/floorpan isn't bent. I had a shunt to the side in my old polo, and all of the above happened, despite only being a light shunt!

Re: if i was to sell a mk4 polo 1.4 16v 180bhp ?
Have you done anything to the gearbox? Stock valvers chew through gearboxes like there's no tomorrow, that kind of power would shred a stock box! A stock 'box would chop the price down a fair bit because of the work that would need doing. Also, are there shorter shocks to go with the springs? Again,...

Re: 6N front bumper, O/S headlight/indicator/wing
Hey mate, sorry to hear about the incident, devon roads are always a pain! I've got an O/S headlight available if you want it, I'm at uni up in Bangor at the moment but my dad can get it off the car for you to collect, or he can post it if you like.

Re: Arghhhh ! Central Locking !
It is a bit weird, but for some reason unlocking the car takes much less pressure than locking it. I think gravity helps out during the unlocking, or some witchcraft occurs! I never had a chance to take my car apart and find the cause of the leak, as it got written off by some bint in an MPV before ...
