I did a search for breather and that picture came up but didn't answer my question

So the hose from the cam cover is connected to the air filter?

The rubber hose just to the left of the oil cap on my car isn't connected to anything at the end and i'm not so sure if should be.

Thanks for the reply, i'll give that a go this weekend.

One thing i have noticed is there is a breather pipe from the top of the engine which has a rubber hose that isn't connected to anything. Does anyone know what this is, and should be connected to anything else?
