Hey everyone,

I got my car checked out using a VAGcom to find out why its engine warning light was on.

I got told it was an o2 ( oxygen ) sensor after the CAT pipe and a heater control sensor.

Any way I will list exactly what the guy wrote down for me and if any one can shed some more light on ...

I want to get my original polo gti's wheels refurbished, they are the only things that are making my car look terrible.

As your all be aware, there the BBS RX2s and are 2 piece split rims.

Which service should the cambelt change be done at?
I thought it would be 60k but a VW servicer ( none VAG ) said unsurely that he believed it would be the 100k service.

Who has had theres done, and how many miles had it done?? Also how much should i be looking at?

did you get you bearing repaired from a local gearbox garage clarky?

I just gave my car to VW and they sorted it all out, i believe they done the repairs at there garage ( mind you its a large VW garage ).
I say this as they never mentioned sending my box away and the turn around for getting it ...

Ive literally got my car back from VW after having my gearbox fixed.
I was stronlgy recommended NOT to get a re-con box as i dont know its history, and VW only supply brand new boxes i was told so that was out of the question as all inclusive of VAT and labour etc it would have been in ecxess of  ...

ah, im glad someone has payed the same amount.

im getting my box reconditioned as apposed to another already reconditioned one, and my one being discarded.

i felt that was the best option, and the cheapest.

if it breaks they will have it back ,and if it breaks again they will have it back, and ...

alright guys,

ive finally got my gti booked in for its gearbox to be mended.

Ive gone through a VW dealer to have it done with a 2 years parts and labour warranty. And am having my current box repaired with seals, bearings,oil etc etc. with new clutch kit and release bearing.

Thought id get it ...

Im finally getting my gearbox repleced after months of putting up with the annoying noises its been making. I want to ask a few questions and see whats what etc and get some advice from you guys.

i need to get a red touch up for my polo gti. Are there different shades that were used for gtis and if so how can i tell which one mine is?

Where is best to get touch ups from ( bar halfrauds )

not sure about any mobile or quick repair for body work, thats what i assume chips away are.

The owner befor me got my car done by a smart repair i think there known as, where they come out to you or its like a day turn around place. Anyway they did a complete bodge, they didnt remove the windows ...
