oo, yeah, hope it all goes well mate. Our polo actually had an ECU fault and an engine check light. Both have actually gone off on their own, but the exhaust is blowing a 'lil bit anyway... Still, the only thing i can say thats good about our polo 6n2 is the economy. And i like the way it is able to...

it's going back into the garage next week, most likely for new Lambda probes (x2) for another £278. Hopefully that will nail the emissions problem and improve the MPG as well, but - who knows. speaking of which, we actually had a similar problem with our mk4 golf gti. the engine light was on for a...

well, you could say that...but you can buy a bad version of any car...

French cars? well...my friend just bought a 106 GTI, and it's got nothing but problems, his other car is a Fiat Punto, perfectly reliable, faultless in fact.

I'm still impressed with the 1.0...even tho you have to cain the s**t outta it you still get respectable mileage. Before this i used to have to drive a 1.1 litre rover. it had an undeniable thirst and a tank would go in around 180 miles. so when i compare 180 from what i was getting to 380ish i get ...

Remember also that it's not actually a full tank unless you splutter into the petrol station...i ran my 1.0l down to almost empty(according to the gauge) got into shell, filled up and it took 39.68 litres, so that was out of a 45 litre tank as well. That gives approximately 1 gallon remaining in the...

This may sound simple, but what do people use, or do to clean all the dust and muck from in and around the door hinges and sills etc...cos drove to spain, got immensely dusty, and well...not sure what to use to get it off without soaking the interior with water...(same with engine bay)

As far as I'm aware you must never use kitchen products, such as fairy liquid on a car. Fairy liquid contains salts, corrosive to wheels. For products i'd recommend taking a ganders at Detaling World, plenty of info on there. I bought some Turtle wax ice yesterday, gonna give it a go on the golf tom...

D90 should be a quality camera! lucky chap! lol bought myself a D50 kit with my first ever pay packet in the summer of 2006...2 years later its still in rude health (minus the flash). my friend bought a D70s at the same time as well, and seeing the difference to what the newer models can do, it's qu...

i remember watching that Schumacher-De La Rosa incident. i was sooo annoyed at the time (hardcore Mclaren fan) but, after the race, not a whisper was spoken of it. But, you may say he gained an advantage. But at the time, the rules did not state that the offending car had to wait until after the nex...

speaking of insurance i just got a quote from HIC on a 6n2 gti...£2600 i thought that was a bit steep. 20yo, 3 years ncb...although it was with mods...exhaust, map, manifold and coilovers...o well. as to now, a 6n2 1.0l 3rd party is £475 with direct line. whole family is on that, and all named dri...
