Re: Which Oil Do You Use?
Thanks for your advice.
Think I mite stick with 10w40 instead of changing back to Fully Synthetic as that’s what my mechanic used the last couple oil changes. Plus the oil gets changed every 5,000miles. Feels like it would seem a little bit of waste to put 5w30 for 5,000miles.

Which Oil Do You Use?
My Polo's due for an oil change and not sure what oil to put in? It’s the 1.4 16v 100bhp engine.
VW have it registered on 0w30 but I haven't had it serviced at the dealer whilst owning it.
I top up using 5w30
My mechanic uses 10w40
What do you recommend?

Changed the Brake Light Switch, Bulbs and the Fuse yesterday… And by time I got home, the brake lights had stopped working again.
Any ideas anyone?

Re: Engine Management & EPC Light
Got a Diagnostics test done today. Turns out it is the Brake Light Switch. Getting it replace in the next week or so. Hopefully this solves the problem.

Re: Some advice if possible
Hi,
I would definitely recommend Alpine or Pioneer Headunit from past experience. You can’t go wrong if you stick to them two brands. Just a case of finding one with the features that meet your needs.
You don’t need a connector or a face plate for the 9n. It slides straight in. If you got a CD ...

If you go for shared bathrooms, invest in flip-flops! < that's the voice of experience there
Haha…I agree, would definitely invest in some Flip-Fops. Worth every penny from my experience.
Don’t think it’s worth paying an extra 1k for an ensuite. Beside it’s only for a year.

Yes, I have a Patrol. Didn't realise EGR Valve was only for Diesels.ihpj wrote:Mate, I think yours is a petrol? If so I don't think they have EGRs (as this is a diesel only)...so unlikely to be that on yours.
The only other thing I think it could be is the Coilpack. But I'll soon find out.
Thanks.

Re: Engine Management & EPC Light
Yeah I wouldnt mind knowing that too.
My Engine Management light came on a couple of week ago. Plugged my mates laptop in and it came up as an EGR valve fault. I'm going to give it a clean 1st before replacing it, to see if that sorts it!
Got in the car last night and the Engine Management ...

Re: Engine Management & EPC Light
Well after a drive last night, the EPC has gone of & only the Engine Management is lit up. After looking at the website below seems like I’ve got a few of the symptoms so it could be the EGR Valve. I’ll get a Diagnostics done to tell for sure.
How much did the EGR Valve cost to replace?

Engine Management & EPC Light
Just got my car back from borrowing it to a friend and it’s got the Engine Management & EPC Lights on.
Anyone know what this means as I haven’t got the manual to hand. The car seems to be driving as normal. Wondering if I can still drive the car as normal until I book it in to my local garage ...
