Hi there, i had the exact same problem with my MK5, very annoying, im pretty sure its to do with the connection under the rear seats, flip them up and have a poke around with the wires, see if it helps.

thats what i was thinking! its done 100,000 miles as well so most its probably worth is £1700, the back rear quarter, bumper and now window are all bust too, im hoping its a write off, i dot fancy all that being repaired, along with this, after the bum it wont go into 1st gear, maybe the gearbox too...

Right im fed up of the ABS light coming on when people jump in the back, im sure if i ever need it, the light will be on, i had it checked a while back on vag com, its the rear sensor, needs changing, is there just one for the back? and can i buy this and fit it myself?
