Noisy Front brakes!

I recently painted my front calipers (very carefully) with out taking them off, but now, about 3 weeks later im getting an awful sqeak when braking slowish (not heavy braking). Yeah I thought that as I painted them on my Type R and no trouble. What about spraying brake cleaner on them then going for a quick HARSH spin!?

Yeah i didnt want to pay that but I couldnt let a clean car pass. Started modding myself. If you cant get insured on a Gti they wont insure on on a highly modified car. I used to have a Type R (03) , churchill cost me £900, then got a 1.4 Polo and they wouldn't insure me with an induction kit!!!!!!...

Hi, thanks for your reply but for now i've chosen to just change the filters, either BMC or K&N as my insurance company wont insure me and the cheapest I got quoted was an extra £300.

Not worth it for poss 5BHP and some noise

Go to K&N website and they give you step by step guides which shouldn't be too different to what your after.

With Induction kits they do give a small increase in BHP and your adding something, which would void your insurance if they found out you've got one. The next option would be replace the air filter as your only changing same for same and K&N rekon they give you a tiny increase but no noise i'm a...
