6N2 1.4 16V (100 Bhp) For Sale

Having recently completed my project car I am now selling my rare 16V 6N2. I have owned this car for 3 years and it has a comprehensive service record, both before I owned it and a log of the work I have done during my ownership. The car was registered in 2000 and has now covered just over 99K miles...

Re: 6N2 Engine Swap.....Help needed please!

Well as the swap is now complete, I thought I'd update the story for anyone wanting to replace an engine with a different code. First of all 'YES IT CAN BE DONE'. We were unable to find a suitable AFK replacement, but noted that there were plenty of AUB codes for sale.(mostly from Skoda's). Followin...

Re: 6N2 Engine Swap.....Help needed please!

Alex, Sorry missed your prompt response. So you feel the box will be fine, so that's great, but will the different code engine work without changing the ecu etc. We have found a low mileage AUB engine from a Skoda, that is a 16v 100 bhp unit, is it as simple as bolting all the bits on from our AFK e...

6N2 Engine Swap.....Help needed please!

I have just bought a second 1.4 16V 100 Bhp (2000, 6N2), it matches my original car exactly, Met. Black with red sports interior. Engine and gearbox codes are also identical. The new car has a hole in the block and was bought to swap over the better parts onto my original car, and to enable me to re...

Thanks for that. Looked again this afternoon, and it looks as if a metal guide has snapped, so your fix with a bolt may not be possible, as I cant see anywhere it could bolt onto? May try a scrap yard tomorrow to see if the guide bit can be drilled off and then bolted on?

My son bought a polo with a damaged engine, along with a replacement to put in it. We could not find a number on the replacemet engine, so decided not to use it and sourced another with the correct number. As far as I can find out the engine number only comes on a sticker on the top end of the rocke...

Mk 4 Stuck in Gear

Hi, new to all this, I need help. My sons Mk 4, developed a gearbox fault today. It would not go into 3 and 4. Then it cleared up, but now stuck in 3rd. It appears as if the gear stick is moving as you drive forward. I think it may be an engine mount rather than the gearbox itself. Any ideas please!...
