your thermostat may have gone but another issue that may need attention is the coolant pump. The vanes on the pump are made from crappy plastic and snap off. mine broke at 55000 miles and took the thermostat out too. run the engine without the thermostat in place your fan will whizz away all the tim...

Sorry mate I've been off work for a week as my wife gave birth last monday. The fivespeed O2J should be fine but use an uprated clutch as the standard clutch isnt that good wit the standard 150BHP due to the lack of ventilation in the bell housing. Blue flame did make the exhaust for the rear engine...

Hello Dubprince, the down pipe is a single pipe, however it need to be at least 2 1/2 inches wide due to the fact is has to bend to the right then down and the a 90 degree bend under the car, this will aid gas flow as when you up the boost, the exaust gasses need to escape as quickly as possible, ot...

get a diamond black Polo, will look much moodier until you sort out your "wacky" paint job. Besides green cars are unlucky. The key to the eurostyle look is to get the smallest diameter wheels 13"-14" but as wide as possible, then slam the car on its ar*e. Remeber less is more, a...

Right speak to QPE about retaing the original mk 4 golf clocks, the signal output for the tachometer is different on the Polo than the mk 4 Golf. The signal on the Golf/Audi lumps comes from the coil packs mounted directly onto the spark plug, of which there are four however the tacho signal from th...

Possibly a 1.6 16v for a further 25bhp. The wifes Golf mk4 1.6 16v is quite nippy and weighs about the same as a challenger tank. should be quick enough.

You will need to weld a bracket onto your subframe to accept the the mk 4 Golf rear engine mount as it needs to be relocated onto the underside of the subframe there is no way that the engine mount will lcate where the Polo mk 4 mount is. There are loads of pictures at: www.speedmakers.de if you loo...

The rear engine mount would still have to be attached to the Polo subframe using the Golf mk4 mount. If you are planning on using a mk4 Golf Dash board then the best of luck. The best way is to cut back the Golf wiring loom and connect it up to your existing Polo wiring loom. The car will be fine wi...
