Re: 195/40x17 on a 9n
I slipped and meant the Kumho Ecsta actually. Funnily enough I've just got some Yokohama Parada Spec 2s. They're nice enough tyres but the profile is very square compared with the Toyo T1rs I had on my 16s. Come the spring I'll probs go with some more Toyos. I prefer the softer compound they're made...

Re: 195/40x17 on a 9n
Try http://www.camskill.co.uk. The Toyos are good (though I"ve only tried T1rs not the PX4s). Hankooks get good reviews too (50 quid a corner too!). The P Zero Neros are very good tyres with a silly price tag (over 100 quid). No pictures on 9Ns folks? I don't want to have to run 185/35s as that...

195/40x17 on a 9n
Anyone running these on a 9N? I have 205/40x17s and I think I'd get on better with 195/40s. 185/35 look ace but are out of the question.
Anyone? Pics would be good too...

Re: Strange Window Problem
If you have a power cut then the one touch windows need a reset. The ignition needs to be switched one down from everything on (if that makes sense), then wind all the way down (hold for a bit), then all the way up (hold for a bit). The poster above got it too.
Should work then.

Re: Candy white 9n3
Thanks mate. 205/45 is an unusual choice.
All satin black with silver (or gold) bolts?
Not sure I should be giving that one away though haha

Re: Candy white 9n3
That looks nice. What offsets and tyre sizes are we looking at there then?
I've recently gone from 16s to 17s so I don't have a feel for best setup in 17s yet.

Shame, I'd have been working out shipping costs if not. I love most monoblocks, they really suit the 9N/9N3 for some reason.Monoblocks are sold

Re: Nico's Polo 9N3
Do you not find you scrape the sump a lot?
My 9n on the 16s had a very low sump. However, it is a 1.9 TDI.
Did you sell the monoblocks?

Re: Nico's Polo 9N3
The Monoblocks work the best. The 9n/9n3 suits flat faced wheels imo (I had some 7.5x16 Audi A6 monoblocks on my 9n).
Can I ask what size tyres they are? 195/40? What brand?

Re: Alloys for 9n
I think most people are past the coilover vs air thing these days.
I meant, in my statement, that to get the stance right on 15s on a 9n you have to use air. No doubt about it, even with large widths and 50 profiles.

Re: lots of 9n parts new pic updated ! L00K
haha sorry mate. I've just realised they're Dune wheels, no? Do you have the offset?
I always get this. When I've just agreed to buy one set of wheels another comes along that I want too.

Re: Alloys for 9n
I run 7.5x16, 195/45 Toyos on Audi A8 Winters with adapters that bring to et20.
It works well but its a 1.9TDI and the sump is very low. I'm buying some S3 alloys soon in 17 so will gain some height.
Dished 15s would be great but there's no way you'll get it sitting right without air suspension.
