ive got the same problem, went to the vw dealer in ipswich and they want 30mins labour which is £35 + VAT! anybody got a VagCom near Ipswich?

as in the bit on the end of the ballast that actually connects to the xenon bulb, the new ballast doesnt have that bit, has been orded and will be here tomorrow though. fingers crossed it will work.

sorry dug abit deeper into the sight and found some, the ones tim suggested a little while ago now, 2nd brightest ones leds4u do.

cheers Alex well i took the front bumper off and got to the ballast went to put the new one in then realized there isnt a interchangable bulb holder so i gotta wait 2 days till one arrives! to say im not happy is a understatment! oh well. while i was at it i thought i may aswell order some of them p...

sorry to bring this back up but the problem fixed itself then it broke again so i think dodgy ballast. got another one, is replacing the ballast a light out job?

will i have to take the bumper off to get the light out, i might aswell do the seal aswell

the above sounds expensive! the foiltec stuff is cheap and cheerful, i re did my accord type r rocker cover with it and it worked a treat!

if ur willing to split the interior i would love just the lower passanger side rear bench! as mine has fag burns from the former owner!
