Re: snow driving !

Nice!
We've had lots of snow in Crawley again. It was 8-inches in my garden and it didn't really stop all day yesterday.
Got a couple more pics of the polo in the snow so I'll post up later.

Re: snow driving !

My Toyo proxies weren't too bad in that snow but this year I've got snow tyres on for the winter ;)

Re: knocking noise when moving forward

I had something that sounds similar and it turned out to be an inner cv joint (where it goes into the gearbox).
Worth a looksie!

Re: snow driving !

I love the snow - had great fun in my Polo getting to work through 13-inches of snow in February. My route also takes me down a very steep and twisty country lane... All I can say is thank God for ABS breaks ;) Here I am after dropping by my parents: http://www.flat4play.co.uk/polosnow.jpg http://ww...

Re: Aerowiper for GTI? anyone know where to purchase

I'm tempted to do that too - the Lupo arms look much better than the retro fit and I'm def not up for the scraping on the scuttle either.

But hey, for now I'm sticking with the retro fit ones as they do a grand job :D

Re: remapped

I'm liking the sound of these gains.
So these figures are without any mods?
What sort of cost is this remap likely to be?

Cheers :D

Yeah, I was referring to the 'proper' aero style wiper that comes on the Lupo as being the genuine article as appose to the retro fit type ;)

Re: Aerowiper for GTI? anyone know where to purchase

I bought some Bosch retro fit ones and they work just as well as the genuine ones you find on the Lupo. Granted the proper ones look better but in terms of function they are exactly the same and far better than the standard wiper blade.

Re: Skint and bored

Another cheapish mod I'm going to do is fit the late model GTi leather handbreak lever with the red stiching.
They are on eBay for under £30.

Oh and have you shortened your door pins yet? That's a free mod :)

Re: MPG ??

I usually get 300 miles before the light comes on but as already said it really depends on your driving style. I've never had less than 280 and the highest I've ever seen is 350. My average MPG for last year (yep I worked it all out thanks to my iPhone app) was 37.8mpg. That includes motorway, count...
