Re: NMavs's Candy White Polo GTI - Retro-Fitted Xenons

Yeah I work in Rochdale so I get to experience the lovely weather everyday  lol I wasn't so keen on the rings myself, but tbh there not as bright as the LEDs down the edge so it doesn't stand out that much. As for overall quality, the headlights I have seem to be built to rather high standard...

Re: NMavs's Candy White Polo GTI - Retro-Fitted Xenons

NMavs! You never updated with night time pics, I've found someone selling a set of RHD ones for a small fortune (smaller than OEM Xenons lol) but wanna see what the beam is like first, these stupid standard headlights keep fogging up now which is useless! Sorry buddy completely forgot. Will try sor...

Re: GTI Ordered! Any tips i.e. oil, plugs e.t.c?

Car looks awesome mate. Welcome to the world of the Gti :D absolutely love mine still, 3 years on. I battered mine from day one and upto this day I've only ever had to top the oil up 3 times (done 30,000 now) I have the Vw (eibach) lowering springs on mine. Looks wise makes a huge difference to the ...

Yep had this a few times on my Gti. It's the abs system kicking in combined with what vedubber said above. Nothing to worry about mate.

Genuine armrest part number

Hi guys. Looking for the part number & price of the genuine armrest that comes fitted in the GTI. Guessing it's the same in all other polos that come fitted with one as standard? Snapped the little release clip completely off the other week so gunna have to replace it :-( or if anybody knows of ...

Re: Daytime Running Lights

All the blue motion polos have them as standard mate. Not sure it's as simple as we would like it to be in order to make ours have fog DRLS. I wanted this for my GTI months ago but ended up buying the xenon drl headlamps instead. Would be interesting to see if anyone can figure out a solution :-)

Re: GTI Air con

Just a little tip for you mate. Don't order the MFSW buttons, its cheaper to retrofit. Cost me £50 for the steering wheel control buttons. All you do is pop the steering wheel airbag out, 2 screws and the old trim comes out, then plug your new controls in. Job done :D Saves you £200 quid if its stil...

Re: Losing coolant

Had the radiator replaced on my 2011 gti couple of months back. Car had only covered 25,000 miles and lost all its coolant within 10 miles on the motorway! Turned out to be the internal seal on the rad, which Volkswagen admitted is a common problem with most polo's. Its a design flaw apparently. The...

Re: Looking for advice on best suspension solution

I can vouch for the Eibach Sportlines / 15 - 20's as that's what I'm now running on my GTI. Had the H&R's 35 - 55 which looked awesome but the ride quality was utterly shocking. Felt like I needed a back board when I got out of it  Although 15 - 20 doesn't sound a lot, you'd be very surpr...
