o i have tried unplugging the temperature sensor on the radiator which turns the fan on but even with the fan on the car still tends to overheat, i have been shown ehre the thermostat is and how to remove it i am going to try that today as it is relatively easy to do, am i right in saying if you ...

6n overheating!

I have a 1.0 AER 6n and recently it ran very low on oil and overheated, i managed to pull over and let it cool before i caused any real damage! I topped it up with oil and topped up the cooling system which was low as it was boiling off. Now it overheats after a couple of miles and i cant think why ...

Hello there I have a 6n and my speedo has died. As well as this my petrol gauge has started goin up and down when I go round corners as if the float is loose in the tank or something?? Wanted to know if anyone had expericanced anything like this before and might be able to diagnose the problem ...

Yeh go for it matey a pic would be nice. Ive been driving it with the severed gear knob for couple of weeks now but looks s*** lol. Thanks for your help i shall be searching for my new one now lol!

Gear knob replacement...

Hi i have a 6n i have managed to split the standard rubbery-foam gear knob. I have taken of the gear gaiter and have found how to take it off(finally!!). Wanted to know if there is a specific fitment for a new one or is it universal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I am looking to upgrade the dash tweeters and door speakers in my 1997 polo, just wanted to double check the sizes of these as i am buying from the internet. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Turns out the cat had disintergrated and it was blocking the flow of exhaust gases, every now and again it would free up but now i have de catted it for the moment and its running better thatn ever before..

nt a bad idea mate thanks alot...i have now found that there is some sort of blockage in the exhaust that is stopping the exhaust gases escaping...it only revs up to 3000 then burrs out but when u disconnected the manifold it ran perfectly....i now need to take the exhaaust of and see whehther the ...

I recently posted about some mayo lookin gunk in the air filter and subsequently in the oil cap.....i got a mate to change the had gasket and changed the cam belt whilst he was at it....he put it all back together and the car was still lacking in power. He suggested it may be that the oil breathe ...

thanks alot for your help, i disconnected the breathe tube and ran it quickly and a load of that gunk ended up on the oil cap so im 100% now lol Any good websites you could recommend for a gasket kit??
