The CO control is on the air flow meter, under the blue cap. The idle speed is controlled by a screw on the throttle body. I think http:\\www.rosstech.com can supply the software and the cable for reading the fault codes from this type of ECU.

the 1.3 golf has the same engine as the 1.3 polo, making the 1.3 polo a fair bit quicker. The 1.0 mk2 isnt too bad. that's a CV joint boot. You can get a replacement from GSF. its quite awkward to replace though, the CV joint needs to be removed from the wheel hub (which may require you to separate the anti roll bar/track control arm from the suspension strut) Then the CV joint needs to be separated from the driv...
