Give everything you need to undo (including bleed nipples) a good soak with WD40 a couple of times during the day.

Buy or borrow proper brake pipe spanners.(Looks like a ring spanner with a bit cut out).

Hold the new hoses up alongside the fitted ones to make sure they look right.

Make sure the ...

Dont you have to remove the alternator belt to get the timing belt off?

At the risk of stating the bleedin obvious, you know you have to lean into the boot and look up underneath the panel gareth_gt's arrow points at?

I had a quick look at Halfords paint section today, the book there tells you what colours were used on different models/years. No idea how accurate it is ...

Tahrey, try http://www.buypartsby.co.uk . I've not used them myself, but they're showing the tank at £67.14 including vat and delivery. Put the twenty quid you save towards paying a garage to do the job for you. it's not worth the risk of death trying to DIY!

The in-line pump, filter and accumulator are mounted on a bracket behind the driver side rear wheel. If the anti-vibration bolts on the bracket fail (they are just a rubber block glued between two bolts, the glue fails and they fall apart) and the bracket touches the body of the car, the pump noise ...

The buzzing noise is probably coming from the indicator relay (under the dash on the passenger side), but the problem may be in the switch. Next time it makes a noise, try pushing the indicator stalk down firmly. Mine does the same, I keep meaning to fix it properly but life gets in the way.

Sounds like a rear engine mount to me. If the engine drops enough the air filter hits the bulkhead and can damage your throttle body and/or inlet manifold. I'd have thought it would be more BANG than pop though!

Thanks.

Thanks for the speedy replies.
I've not had the car long, the box seems a bit whiney so thought I'd best check it. Now all I need is someone to stop the rain for half an hour so I can get on with it!
