The loom has been cut but will be quite easily soldered again. £30

Best to get some wide grips and twist the boot chassis side clockwise. It comes off quite easily.

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the door lock unit itself, where the air pipe meets the door lock.

Yeah that diagram isn't helpful. If I pour a watering can over the window, it's like a waterfall entering the door. The passenger side is worse than the drivers. I've sealed both doors with a plastic membrane so hopefully that might stop it..
