thanks for the info! whats the stock speaker size? the cone seems to be quite a lot smaller than 6 in. did you just put your speakers straight into the factory holes? i'd like to just buy a pair the right size and put them straight in.

hi, i use a sony xm-d1000p5. it puts out 900w rms@2ohms. ideal for running 2 4ohm subs with a power rating of 450w rms each. you can get it for about £150 online.

i use the same amp, powering 2jl audio w3's. i'd recommend not buying the sony subs, as apparently the build quality is crap. however, i've been using the amp for several months now, and it shakes the hell out of my car(mk4 polo). needs a hefty power cable tho. you can get the amp on ebay new for ab...

hi. the impedance of the sub is basically telling you the loading that it puts on the amp. its nothing to do with the power rating of the sub. say you have an amp that will put out 100w@4ohm. thats a hundred watts of power going into one 4ohm sub. if the amp is 2ohm stable, it will probably put out ...

hi, i own a mk4 1.6 cl polo. the fuel economy is 27 mpg, is this high or low for this model? just wondered if it was running ok, as i've heard that polos are good on fuel, but mines not even doing 30 to the gallon.
