carn't use proper VW extension cable as im not a mechanic, only vagcom. thanks for the help i'll check the cable>

yeah im gonna replace the sensor, £69+vat from vw, starter motors got to come off so im told so gonna ask a mate to help. just hope that sorts it out. bit weird though cars only done 40k

Well it keeps cutting the power, i've vagcom'd it and it says its the speed sensor idol or intermittent. i since found out the speed sensor is the crankshaft sensor, keep clearing the code off vagcom but it cuts the power after about 40 mile

carn't really say ive had much (or any) problem with water or rain going up the induction pipe, probably does, but not all the way though

i've got a similar problem, every so often the car will judder and reduce power. i've knocked the code off with vagcom a few times but it keeps doing it. i was told it's ether the cam sensor, or the crank shaft sensor. done the cam sensor, still doing it, crank sensor is behind the starter motor (so...
