I'm on the look out for some cheap temporary wheels on ebay, cos I need the car for work, then I can giv the refurb a go & just take my time with it.

Don't like the sound of hard graft lol. The wheels were refurbed a couple of days befor i bought the gti, but the lacquer on the lip came off within a couple of months - the centres seem ok. So... i don't think I need to split the rims - i was gonna try & polish the lip without splitting them - ...

If some kind person has this DIY guide, could you email it to funlovincriminal08@yahoo.co.uk it will be much appreciated.

Does anyone have a PDF of the GTI split rim refurb DIY Guide?? The thread has lost all it's pics & the link to the PDF doesn't work.

I fancy giving the refurb a go as I got a quote for £105 per wheel!!
