dont really like them at all on a mk3. I think they only look good on a mk1/2 golf & mk2 polo.

I don't see how anyone can complain about breaking it. sure it looks like it was a minter before the accident but if the roof & chassis leg are creased it's pretty damn fecked!

Good luck with the conversion Rob.

mine tends to vary between 70-90. To be honest I think it depends how good the thermostat is. if it's a new VAG one then I think they work better, mine has a GnS one in it & it seems to open a little bit early if anything. Anyway, you need to find out if your fan is working. go for a quick drive...

90degrees is what it should run at. I replaced the thermostat in my saloon last night because it was running too low.

Haynes manual tells you how. In summary, - loosen alternator & remove acc belt - remove top outer plastic cam belt cover - rotate engine to top dead centre on cylinder 1 using the marks on the cam sproket & bottom pulley - remove bottom pulley - remove bottom outer plastic cam belt cover - l...

gits! I bet the damage they've done will cost more than the value of the stuff they got? That's what really annoys me about these things. when my mk4 got broke into once they took about £100 quids worth of some cheapo speakers, few copied CDs & a pair of wire crimpers I'd left in there. The dam...

that strut looks dodgy to me, not sure I'd trust it with holes rusted through like that.

they look good though, I'm going to do something similar to my struta on the G40 soon.

What did you paint the petrol tank with by the way? I've got a new one to go on soon but I want to rust proof if first.

good luck with it all 8)

don't worry about the fuel tank, they aren't hard to do. just make sure it's as empty as you can get it so it's lighter as you'll need to get under the car & manouver it around to get it out.

try HIC as well, again you'll have to phone though.

It's worth mentioning as many owners clubs as you can. I think it makes you look more like a proper enthusiast who cares for the car, rather than a boyracer who just wants a faster car to hoon around on the roads.

Nice Red GT Oldham bypass 5pm today

Saw a nice clean looking red GT on the Oldham bypass today on my way home from work at about 5pm.

Looked pretty much standard with the Hockenhiem alloys on it & an aftermarket exhaust of some sort.

Youngish looking bloke driving it.

I was in my white mk3 saloon runabout.
