Re: My VW Polo 9n Overheating

Rad fan doesnt come on till overheat - 102C

More likely that your thermostat has stuck closed and the water is no longer circulating

Check if the bottom radiator hose ever gets hot after a drive - should be piping hot after a 10 min drive.

Re: Non start after filter by tank change

It should bleed on first start

Wonder if theyve fitted the filter backwards as I think it has a non-return valve in it

Re: Non start after filter by tank change

Are you getting any fuel coming from the tank when attempting to start? The fuel pump may have failed.

Re: Running Rough/Idle issue

Coolant temp sensor is a prime one for causing starting issues

Another also common issue is the crank position sensor (G28)

have you plugged it in with VCDS to scan for faults?

have you cleaned the throttle body and performed an adaptation cycle on it also?

Re: How to install RClick Remote Central Locking Kits

Your scotch locks may not actually be terminating properly. It’s easy for that to happen

If the box is clicking you don’t have an earth issue on that part of the box, or it wouldn’t click at all

Re: How to install RClick Remote Central Locking Kits

Sounds like you may have a wiring issue of sorts if it won’t lock, or unlock

Did you use scotch locks or solder?

Re: How to install RClick Remote Central Locking Kits

Is there a blue/white wire? Some early 6Rs have both. What colour bands does the supplied resistor have

Re: How to install RClick Remote Central Locking Kits

Theres earth points all over the place. Where did you fit the main module? Have you connected to the correct wire, and used the right size resistor?

Re: Are Golf MK3 doors panels compatible on Polo 6N2?

No, they dont fit im afraid

What part are you trying to find?

As for mirrors, yes its possible, but youll need to replace the door loom and run all the necessary wiring between doors etc. Its not a particularly straight forward swap im afraid.
