Re: Rocker gasket
It's not like the early golf engines, they did have a rocker cover. The GTi has a cam cover, the camshaft "bearings" are part of the cover itself.
I used a different anaerobic sealant that I had on the shelf, used on a different car where 518 is recommended. You don't need much.

You might find this site useful to get part numbers https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/polo+derby+vento-ind/po/1999-158/5/511-511010/ and then a quick google for the part number should get some useful sources  At the moment online is probably going to be easier than local motor factors or deal...

Welcome !
The key has a chip in the head part of it which is read by the coil reader, linked to the immobiliser.
Just swap the head of the key over - take a look here, long story for simple problem viewtopic.php?f=7&t=71988

Just wondering how you got on with the second window regulator. Have you fixed it, or decided there is nothing to fix ?

Welcome !
They are different part numbers - the letter at the end is different.
Find someone who is breaking a car, note the 2 door and 4 door parts are different
Try here ? https://www.stevensvwspares.com/vw-polo ... -mechanism

Re: Parasitic Drain - Windows
Well, it's a lot colder this evening than it was this morning, down to 6 degrees C. Came home and just done the test. After an initial peak up to over 1 amp, it then settled down to about 0.28 amps and after another minute dropped down again to a steady 35ma. This was done with the car unlocked, oth...

Re: Parasitic Drain - Windows
So you're wanting me to go outside and start the diagnostics on my own car, something I haven't got round to for at least 6 months already  Obviously I haven't, but I would have done so right now if any of my 4 meters were with me at the moment. I'll try and remember to bring them home with me ...
