They are a bright white - not a xenon blue. These bulbs are about 4300k in colour, where as xenon HIDs are 6000k upwards :P

I just put a deposit down on a salvage polo hehe 1.4 1996 model. Gonna repair it and respray it plus make the engine insanely powerful.

Fair doos. I want proper HID xenons in mine, but I cant afford the headlights as I would go for the proper GTI ones :(

Ahh the clicks may suggest a blown relay. This happened on my dads old Transporter T25 or the hazard warning lights. The relay just has a clicking fit, but didnt work :( Replaced it, and all is good :D

A new relay is like a fiver or so.

Hehehe they are no where near that bright. LED sidelights are 1 watt. High beams are 55 watt its a big difference :P They just look so bright as they are really intense :D Mine look gorgeous when they are on at night.

I must get some up to date shots of mine by night 8)

This is a really odd one. Its odd that its not a fuse or a relay. For something to just stop would suggest either a bad wire, relay or a fuse. Have you checked to see if the relay and/or fuse are burnt out? Perhaps the contact in the wiper selector arm on the steering wheel has died :P EDIT: As for ...
