Re: GTI+ finance deals

If you look at the current VW Finance page for Polo, It states on the main page itself, (Finance Deposit Contribution available for:) GTI and GTI+ in the list of models, but when you click on the T's and C's on the same page, it states "Excludes GTI and GTI+" Is it just me or is this a con...

Re: How chipped is your paintwork?

I've done around 11K Motorway Miles and can find only a cluster of 3 tiny chips on the leading edge of the bonnet, but they are hardly noticeable. I did have the Car Ceramic coated on Day 1 and I wonder if this has helped keep the chip count in check.

It's worth taking a look at Carwow.com as this will list a variety of deals from various suppliers.

You could install a Kufatec sound booster if that’s your thing. https://www.sound-booster.com/

Re: Infotainment screen issue

Big shout out to my dealership, Windrush in Maidenhead, my car went in for what I thought was a minor rattle / trim issue and they ended up having the car for over 2 weeks. The issue was fixed under warranty and for the duration I had a nearly new Polo SE loan car. All done free of charge. I have ha...

Re: New Polo R-Line

These are the tracker stages for the Golf - assume stage 5b is the same for the Polo as Polos also arrive in the UK via Emden; 1: Processing order. 2: Order with the factory - parts are being ordered and are awaiting supply dates. 3: BW confirmed - all parts are at factory and vehicle has been sche...

Re: Handbrake playing up again!

I had my handbrake cable replaced at it's first oil service due to the handbrake being stiff and creaky. It's only done a couple of hundred miles since but so far all is well..

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Today I got cold shower while visiting VW dealer in czech republic. My gti have some squeak (I hope it is right word) from suspension (my guess is silentblock). They might want my car for more than one day ... I agreed and scheduled visit for next week. Cold shower was when I asked about any other ...

Re: New Polo On Top Gear

There's no replacement for displacement (the ST is a 3 pot 1.5 now). Its a common conception that VW do tend to understate output. I tried to see what rubber the GTI was on. There was a close-up of a wheel, but it was dirty. Didn't look like a Bridgestone Turanza though. Yeah I was trying to spot t...

Re: Jeremy Clarkson and Binky Felstead plus GTI.

^ That mushroom car is Limestone Grey, really don't like it 90% of the time. That 10% of the time it looks like a proper moody grey (in poor light) its great, but metallic Greige is horrible. I like my Limestone Grey car, but then I like it when it looks bronze, or brown, or mushroom. 😂 David Souff...

Re: Jeremy Clarkson and Binky Felstead plus GTI.

Soooo, what did we all think of the Grand Tour Episode featuring the Polo GTI?

I quite like the idea of having a Mushroom coloured car. 😂

Lots of footage, and the drag race was interesting as the Polo trounced the ST and the Yaris. The VW quoted time of 0-60 in 6.7 often proven to be conservative..
