Re: GTi+ Fogging

For those with bad demisting times, have you ever tried lifting the carpets to see if the underlay is damp or wet? I leave my air con on all the time, winter and summer, and I don't have any problems with my demisting. I've never used one of them demisting bags, in top of the dash, no need. When I ...

Re: POLO GTI+ | Police Trouble

Just catching up with the posts.
Going back to the first post on this subject.

He was doing 87 MPH in a 50 MPH area, whether it looked like a motorway or NOT, Even on a motorway, he still would have been 17 MPH over the limit !

No wonder the police are keeping an eye on him. Speed gun or not.

Re: Is the 12v battery covered under VWs 3 year warranty?

Looking at all your posts, and all the facts and figures. I've been driving for 64 years and always kept an eye on the fluid level of the batteries where needed, but I've never worried about the output or the condition of the battery, as long as the car started, everything was OK. Sometimes ignoranc...

Re: Remind me how DSG works

Talking about braking, when your in adaptive cruise control, and you've got it set too 60 MPH, you come up to a person driving at 57 MPH, the censers automatically slow you to that speed of 57 MPH while keeping a safe distance. Now my question is, Do the brake lights come on as your brakes are appli...

Re: Maps Updates V.13

I've just purchased a V14 SD card from eBay, fitted it and been for a long drive, so far so good. I bid and got it for £30.00. It covers the vast majority of Europe, the problem there is neither the wife or myself don't have passports , she detests flying and I don't like queuing at the airports, an...

Re: Maps Updates V.13

Could that be because the V14 included average speed camera's in the programme ?
Apart from that, did everything else work OK, who was the seller on eBay?

Re: Maps Updates V.13

Some months ago I asked about updating too V.13, I had been to a VW dealer about them doing it for me, which I would pay for their time. All they wanted to do was sell me a new V.13 SD card, and their price was £113. I asked them why they couldn't download on my old SD card, and they said "It w...

Re: How far can I go after range gets to 0 miles? (1.0 TSi)

Why let your petrol get that low in the first place? When the tank is near on empty, and during the warm days and cold nights, this can form condensation, and the more surface area exposed, the more condensation can form. Water and engines don't mix very well. There are many people who say "why...

Re: Sat-Nav up-dates ?

Thank you all who replied, I'll give the youtube a good looking at and make some notes.
If there is some member who has done this before and feels confident to up-date mine and the wife's SD cards, I am willing to pay them for their time and postage :!:

Sat-Nav up-dates ?

I have a 2018 Polo, I was told that you get free sat-nav up-dates for the first 3 years. I've gone onto the VW web site and I have to use the original SD card I got with the car. The thing is, it tells you that you have to delete everything on that SD card first. Now, I'm no IT expert, and can just ...

You did a loop around the block, the water temp was up to 90 degrees, so you decided to whack it up to 5,000 RPM, then everything went tits-up.
