Are they 65mm in diameter? They look to roughly that from the pictures. If they are you can probably pick up a set of A1/A3 chrome trims for about 40 quid.

Having covered 40k in my 1.2 TSI Polo, I've got a fairly good idea of what MPG it's capable of. If you stick to 56mph behind a truck on the motorway for a long haul, you can reach an average of 60-64 MPG. Most days i'm doing a 30 mile motorway journey glued to 80 mph and I always get around 48 MPG. ...

It depends if you're on long life or time and distance, I'd imagine that it would be a major service with the oil, air and cabin filter changed, oil change and ofcourse the other checks they do such as brakes and suspension.
