Re: Polo 6r tdi

Why does it have to be a diesel? The 1.2 TSi has very punchy performance and economy which almost rivals a diesel :) I also found out that the 1.2 TSi has lower insurance premiums than the 1.6 diesel despite it being a lot more lively 8)

Re: Polo Blue GT - Aluminium Pedals

I'm pretty sure you may have the wrong part then! When I bought my set of pedals, I got four in total. 1 clutch, 1 brake and 2 throttle pedals. The Part Number, 8N2 721 847 B, is the one which didn't fit my Polo either. The other pedal is larger and fits over the top in the same style as the other p...

Re: Polo Blue GT - Aluminium Pedals

Hi Garfy, I have a brand new VAG accelerator aluminum pedal (8N2 721 847 B). The dimensions of the pedal are exactly the same as the black accelerator pedal that's in my 1.2 TSI Polo. Questions being; Does the BlueGT have the same dimension accelerator pedal as an SEL Polo? Do you know if your accel...

Re: Chrome Exhaust tips for blue GT

Are they 65mm in diameter? They look to roughly that from the pictures. If they are you can probably pick up a set of A1/A3 chrome trims for about 40 quid.

Re: GTI Sill trim ??

Franko, I think you are referring to the metallic sill plates that sit internally in the door frame. I believe B19NS is referring to the black exterior sill trims that are fitted exclusively to the GTi as part of the bodykit! I'lll dig out a thread for you Wayne, I'm 75% sure they are held on by som...

Re: 1.2 TSI Help

Having covered 40k in my 1.2 TSI Polo, I've got a fairly good idea of what MPG it's capable of. If you stick to 56mph behind a truck on the motorway for a long haul, you can reach an average of 60-64 MPG. Most days i'm doing a 30 mile motorway journey glued to 80 mph and I always get around 48 MPG. ...

Re: 40,000 Mile Service

It depends if you're on long life or time and distance, I'd imagine that it would be a major service with the oil, air and cabin filter changed, oil change and ofcourse the other checks they do such as brakes and suspension. I'd get a brake fluid change done too. I think, the service for the major ...
