Re: How to remove dash board trim

I opted for the red inserts because in my opinion they looked better. Do the deep iron inserts cause any unwanted reflections out of curiosity? Not that I've noticed, nor that the wife has complained to me about. The red inserts could do with being a brighter red. I have noticed that, the red is a ...

Re: 2019 lead times

So today is not a good day. My car (GTI+) is currently sat at the dealers ready for my collection, but they are closed. Been told it will now be 15th April earliest before I can collect. That’s just a bloody tease. :( I'm in the same position. It may be worth getting the car registered in March bef...

Re: Ceramic coating

Look on ebay, you can purchase the "Lifeshine" kits in there, they range from £9.00 up.

Try this one for size, it's the same as VW use.

Re: Paint touch up

When the VW dealer damaged my bonnet (two chips) looked like somebody had dropped a 15mm open ended, I took it to the VW recommended spray shop to get it repaired. My cars colour is Energetic Orange. The spray people said it was a bit of a b***h to match, and they had to do the whole bonnet, and the...

Re: Induction kit

Didn’t ask for a lecture, I simply asked a question which hasn’t been answered From all the replies, you received, and I can say they covered the subject very well you have the pros and cons for the subject you asked. It seems the answer is : Nobody has fitted one to their GTI There's your answer :...

Torque converter gearbox

I wonder if VW will ever bring back the "torque converter gearbox back to the UK? Here's a clip from another forum, with the member in Australia. "Hi From next month the base Karok here in Australia will no longer have the 1.5 TSI and 7 speed DSG. This was the only engine/gear box sold her...

Re: Tyre damage - is it a write off?

It wasn't just for conversation, you thought you might get the thumbs up from members, so you would be able to keep it on the car and save a few quid. Think yourself lucky the police didn't stop you, it would have added 3 or more points to your licence! As a danger to other members of the public! If...

Re: Tyre damage - is it a write off?

How much damage do you think a tyre has to have before it's dangerous to use on the road, would you gamble with your families lives with that tyre?

IT'S DANGEROUS TO USE, SCRAP IT AND PURCHASE A NEW TYRE!!!!!!!

Re: Polo GTI won’t move at all!

My mate down the road who has a GTI+, he complained to me about his rear brakes, clunk first thing in the morning. I said to him not to use his handbrake while parked on his drive, he has DSG box his drive is perfectly flat, he put's it into Park, he said it was just a habit to pull the hand brake o...

Re: Polo GTI won’t move at all!

I haven’t tried pushing the car in neutral (as I rather have my car sit in the garage and my garage is on a hill, so won’t be able to push it back in). I don’t think it will move however, given how the car reacted when I tried putting it to drive or reverse, definitely feel like a brake problem and...
