Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

First time I've owned an auto too, but given a choice, I'd have opted to a manual. DSG can only anticipate your wishes so far, I do still find it not doing what I want on occasion, usually wanting to accelerate hard from 45 when the car's in 6th. Going 6th to 3rd directly in a manual is a hell of a...

Re: Beam length (LEDs) these shine a little short no!?

A few with LED headlights have noticed this. I ended up adjusting mine manually, although there are some that say the new heights should be programmed or at least validated by VCDS. More on the topic here viewtopic.php?f=71&t=72264

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

I'll owned my 2018 Polo GTI+ a year next week. The only two issues were minor trim issues with a plastic clicky sound coming from the glove box lid, and a buzz from the passenger door at certain frequencies when playing music. Both fixed under Warranty. I'm otherwise super happy with my fault free ...

Re: Coming from a Golf GTI mk7.5

My comparison was made last Summer when I got my GTI+, with the facelifted non-performance (standard) GTI. Hadn't realised it had put on so many pounds (weight and cost) since the standard one was dropped. I presume PP/R bigger rear brakes are now standard across the Golf GTI variants, and that LSD...

Re: Coming from a Golf GTI mk7.5

For every troublesome Polo, there'll be a troublesome Golf. Apart from upper door cards and interior door handles being lower grade plastic than the Golf, the Polo is pretty much on par for quality. The fact it's only 40kg lighter than the Golf is demonstration that they're just as solid. I've had ...

Out of interest, was there any diffenerce in the headlamp beam aim on your 19 compared to your 18 car?

Re: What MPG are owners getting in the real world?

Blind Spot Monitoring doesn't work in a parking scenario, as it only comes into operation at speeds over 9MPH (and is deactivated at speeds less than 6MPH) and is specifically used for detecting moving vehicles in adjacent lanes in a motorway scenario. Rear Traffic Alert which comes in conjunction w...

Re: Making my Mk 6 polo tsi sound better

You could install a Kufatec sound booster if that’s your thing. https://www.sound-booster.com/ Have you done this? Based off the site I’m interested in this for my GTI+ but would want to understand install cost and the end sound. Not personally, it's not my thing, and I quite like the sound of my '...

Re: Creaking from Dashboard?

When the creaking is happening, try opening the glove box lid and applying both push and pull lateral pressure to the glovebox lid. This was the cause of my issue and the cure was a new lid under warranty.

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Hello all I’m hoping to collect my Polo GTI in the next few weeks and wondered how many miles people get per tank. I’ve read through and seen a lot of posts on mpg already which vary quite a lot. I’ll be doing around 80 miles per day mainly motorway and a roads. Just wondered when driven sensibly I...

Re: Sensor and ACC

I mentioned a sensor warning recently which thankfully hasn't popped up again but today I was heading for work in a section of motorway that is down to 50mph for miles... yawn.... and I noticed myself catching up quite quickly with the vehicle in front. My ACC display looked as it does when it is o...
