Re: Interior Detailing

The interior of my GTI+ rarely gets dirty, so usually it gets just a quick vacuum of the seats and carpets, a shake out and brush of the floor mats and a wipe over or brush of the dash and other plastic parts with a clean microfibre cloth and / or a soft bristled detailing brush. For the interior su...

Re: New edition 25 polo gti

Hello all just popped into a dealer with a friend to order a new Polo GTI for him and the answer we got from salesman was you cannot order a new one now but have a couple coming into stock that they had ordered but they are not the spec he wanted he also said they only have 3 models in Polo range w...

Re: Keeps on asking me to login to my PROFILE

Got to laugh at times, otherwise you would cry  This morning I noticed that for no reason that I could fathom, I got logged in with a "Guest" profile and it had kindly switched the Climate control off (it's happened a few times before). Select my primary profile and all is well. The ...

Re: Dashcam cable routing

Did you ever get around to fitting your dashcam monkey? Would be interested to find out how it's done for when the car eventually arrives. With my current 2006 Golf TDI I have to unplug the dashcam after every trip. Would be keen to avoid this for the GTI. Yep, all done and working correctly - fron...

Re: Reduced Polo range

From my most recent conversation with VW over the phone about looking at a new car there was mention of them not taking any orders for GTI builds. Dealerships will still be recieving them, I think they're just overwhelmed with the demand vs output. Makes sense. VW also stopped taking orders for mk8...

Re: Reduced Polo range

Trim levels and certain engine variants periodically disappearing from the website has happened before at various times. Alternatively - and purely speculation on my part - it could be VW are streamlining the Polo model range either; with the objective of eventually discontinuing the Polo; there’s b...

They’re being replaced like for like on the Golf, so I dare say it’s likely to be the same with the Polo.

Re: New Suspension

Hi All - we bought a 2010 1.4 Polo for my son, he passed his test recently. Been driving it a lot myself, great little car!! Being the petrol head I am I think it would look and handle much better with a slight lowering kit, not going too mad with neg camber etc, but just a slight drop. As luck wou...

Re: ESC, Lane/Front Assist Errors 2022 Polo

As your car’s under warranty, in your position I’d be booking it in at the dealer’s for them to investigate and sort out the issues. Make sure you don’t clear the fault codes as they’re evidence for the dealer to see there are issues with your car (if you clear them, the dealer might play dumb and s...

Here’s a link to a vid, where you can hear the difference between front and back: https://youtube.com/shorts/33i-lb08SbE?si=ZZfbQevxtvpFAYJv That definitely doesn’t sound right. Cheers for confirming. The fella I bought the car from has taken out an extended service plan, which I’m gonna continue. ...

Re: Polo GTi + - Reverse Parking

Welcome to the forum @RobJJW. Can’t say I’ve noticed the volume from the rear sensors to be any quieter than the front sensors on my 2020 GTI+. Both front and rear can be easily heard (the audio volume for radio / other media sources automatically reduces when reverse gear is selected). If I remembe...

Re: Heating and ventilation

@Polonut; I garage my pre-facelift Polo (a 2020 GTI+), so I’m fortunate that I don’t have the misting up issue in cold weather if I’m starting a journey from home. I also keep my air con running all year round which I believe does help to dry the air in the car at this time of year. If I’m away from...

Re: Weird alloy wheel centre cap deterioration

@ElAlastair; Some wheel cleaning products will degrade / damage wheel centre caps and the plastic wheel bolt covers. Have you changed the products you use on your wheels or have you started going to one of those hand car wash places, or if you already use the hand car wash places, have you recently ...

Re: 2024 Model Year Polo R Line

I also have the heated washer jets as I specced the winter pack. They are still not that great when the window is fully iced up and you end up using a lot of the washer fluid to melt the ice. The heated windscreen option is the best option but they don’t have that for the Polo. apologies for interj...
