Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!
I have the exact same issues! The lights are really not very good at all. And I have the steamy issue but it's on the outside! Like a film which takes an age to get rid of. This was the case on both mk10s I've had. Also suffer with wiper judder too.. I feel the build quality isn't too great thought,...

Re: Gap insurance
My car is on PCP and that’s my fear if I do have an accident My car being worth less then my PCP Nearly pulled out and had an accident earlier tonight when a car didn’t indicate, lucky the car behind me didn’t rear end the car either Can anyone recommend any companies for Gap insurance I’d prefer t...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!
Yes the gears are very long. 5th gear at 70 mph is 1k rpm lower than a 2.0 Hyundai coupe. Coming from a 1.4TDi 9n3 which had been mapped and shorter gears i find that it makes progress much slower because of the longer gears. In return though it's very much a motorway happy car. It takes a bit to ge...

Re: Handbrake
I'm also sending mine in, I'm on my second polo since they messed the first order up, and both had the same issue, like a horrible graunchy noise. I think I read on here that apparently they replace the cables. Hi all, I've had my Polo for about three weeks now and i have definitely noticed the hand...

Re: Beats audio system installation
I'm glad it's not just me who thinks the bass is a bit too much ( I have the beats model ). Has to be at least a few notches down otherwise I think the car will rattle itself to pieces. However, when comparing it to the standard sounds systems in other cars it is far superior, once you've conquered ...

Re: MPG Question
Couldn't agree more. Im debating on getting mine mapped but I feel the clutch is weak anyway. Pulling away on a steep incline, or reversing into a space after rolling forwards often leads to a clutchy smell... Bearing in mind it's not just me riding the clutch, previous car and friends A1 are fine.....

Re: MPG Question
The tuning place nextdoor (did my old car) and they've quoted 130hp. However I feel my clutch would give out first [emoji23] They say it would also bump torque upto 250-260nm. I'm thinking of putting a low-level tuning box on mine. Chip-tuning do a £109 box that gives an extra 15bhp and, more import...

Re: MPG Question
It should do. I was worried when I first got mine.. a 200 mile trip seemed to drink fuel. But now it seems to get better as the miles go on the clock. I'm getting around 43mpg from my 1.0Tsi 95bhp. That's driven very gently though. If I even briefly put my foot down, it plummets into the thirties. I...

Re: Fuel tank size
Definitely. I worked it out last time I did a good run and the computer said 58 and I worked out 54 so it's not far off... It's surprising how much you can get in the fill-up pipe between the bodywork and the tank it's self. In the Mrs Nissan Note diesel, if I neck it while filling it, you can get j...

Re: Fuel tank size
Ah right, I'll shut up then [emoji23][emoji23] The Polo brochure states the fuel tank is 40L with this in the fine print: "The size of the fuel tank is approximate and therefore it may be possible to add a greater amount of fuel than the size of the tank specified, due to the space in the fille...

Re: Fuel tank size
I'm under the impression it's a 45L tank. I've filled up 40.2L before hand with the range on 0. Parker's spec list online says 45L.

Re: MPG Question
Mine wasn't great when I first got it. Now with 6500 on the clock I average about 50-55mpg. On a good 200 mile run on cruise about 73mph I'll get back 63mpg. This is a 1.0TSI 95ps manual. Did take some getting used to where the power is coming from a 1.4TDi 9n3 which has been mapped. Sent from my Pi...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!
I often have aebs cut in too for no reason... On certain occasions actually stop me. It's a right pain. Even with the warning set to late in options As to my Polo, I love it. Nearly drove into the side of a car yesterday, silly woman pulled out from a side road into my path. [/quot Did the w...

Definitely jealous.. the R-Line is what I wanted!
But I needed one so I got the beats instead. Still a lovely car mind, looks good in that colour too!
