hi guys,

my car was serviced by my local garage and now i need the radio code.
it being the weekend and all, i doubt i have much chance of getting a radio code from the dealers, are they all the same? can someone get it for me? what details do you need?

the sachs clutcht hat you're all talking about - is sachs just one of many clutch manufacturers? my local garage has had to fit a new clutch - and i know its not a sachs one - does this matter?

can i ask, once you've done all that to the alloys does the finish stay like that? or does it corrode again? do you have to wash em every 5 min or anything?

thanks bstardchild - the only car i've had before was a pug 106 quiksilver, so i'm not really experienced with tyres/power etc. what would you recommend as a standard tyre then?

i was told by vw that it had no recalls outsanding, so the pedal box had been done - does this sound like a pedal box thing then?

will it be okay that i've left it with my local garage and not vw?

i've seen that on the new polo vw are using the flip key, like on the golfs etc. do these work on the same frequency, ie could one be used on my polo gti?

thanks neil - what tyres would people recomend? i need something that isnt too soft so it lasts well, but dont want to be sliding off the roundabout in the winters etc

hi, thanks for your reply - if the clutch cable had gone then surely you wouldnt still see it working/moving okay in the engine bay? also does anyone know where i can get hold of parts such as vw door grab handles and stuff like that should i be worried about it not receiving the same level of atten...

hi guys, i've just sold my car and have about 5,000 - 6,000 to spend, and have been looking at the 1.4 16v 100bhp polos (00-02) but these are thin on the ground, and am wondering if i might be happier with a gti. would this sort of money buy me a good example? also are performance and equipment etc ...
